GEMA represents in Germany the copyrights of more than 64,000 members (composers, lyricists, and music publishers), as well as over two million copyright holders all over the world. GVU (German Federation Against Copyright Theft)

GVU is a non-profit organization established and funded by companies and associations in the movie and entertainment software sector in Germany. Its primary task is to investigate violations of intellectual property rights of its members and report such infringements to German law enforcement authorities for prosecution. In addition, GVU provides technical and legal assistance to these authorities in criminal proceedings. Moreover, GVU provides expert information on copyright protection through seminars and lectures to public agencies, educational facilities and legislative bodies. Finally, it offers public information about intellectual property protection, the results of its work and in general copyright policy matters. Internet:  www.gvu.de
